This work is comprised of an investigation project that seeks to implement a 3D reconstruction system of global reference. In this first part, we designed and implemented the optical head necessary to obtain three-dimensional data from object surface. The optical head is designed under the principles of laser triangulation, but it contains two observation points instead of one. CCD cameras are located in such a way that they reduce the influence of hidden zones of systems with an ob-servation point. The system is evaluated and calibrated, obtaining experimental results.
