Este trabajo presenta los resultados cuantitativos del proyecto, ”Estrategias de enseñanza colaborativa que contribuyan en el proceso de aprendizaje y mejoren la evaluación sumativa en los estudiantes de Mecánica”,financiado por Vicerrectoría Académica de la UIS, y que se viene realizando con todos los estudiantes de Ingeniería, Diseño Industrial y Química, que matriculan la asignatura Mecánica. Este proyecto se inició en el II semestre de 2003 con 1093 estudiantes, número que ha venido disminuyendo debido a los mayores porcentajes de aprobación en la asignatura como consecuencia del proceso realizado. En el I semestre de 2005 se tienen 670 estudiantes, que representa el 61% con respecto del número de estudiantes matriculados en el 2003, lo cual evidencia la disminución en la repitencia de esta asignatura. .

This work presents the quantitative results of the project “Strategies of collaborative teaching that contributes in the learning process and improve the summative evaluation of students in the course of Mechanics for Engineers”, financed by UIS Academic Vice-Directorship, and they has been working with all of Engineering, Industrial Designer and Chemistry students. This project started in the second semester of 2003 with 1093 students, number that have been decreasing due to greater percentage of approbation in the subject as a consequence of the finished process. In the first semester of 2005, we have 670 students, this represents the 61% respect to the number of students registered in 2003, which demonstrates the diminution in the repetition of this subject
